Barbara Donnelly Obituary, Death – With her husband by her side, Barbara Ann (Murphy) Donnelly, who was 66 years old and lived in Binghamton, New York, passed away in a calm and serene manner on December 12, 2023. She joins her cherished family members who have passed away before her, including her parents, Vincent and Barbara Murphy, her nephew Nicholas Hooker, and a number of aunts and uncles.

Her husband, Brian Donnelly, her sister Kathleen Hooker, who is married to Paul, her nephew Sean Hooker, who is married to Gina, her great-nieces Olivia and Adrianna, her brother Vincent Murphy, who is married to Laura, her nieces Sklyer and Melissa, her nephews Sam and Nicholas, and her aunt Kathleen Farmer are among those who survive her.
She received her high school diploma from Chenango Valley High School. Previously worked for General Electric Company, was the proprietor of The House of Treasurers, and was presently working for St. Patrick’s Church in the capacity of Director of Outreach Ministries for the Southern Tier community. Barb was devoted to lending a helping hand to those in need and had a deep love for life.

This was made abundantly clear by the manner in which she assisted clients in the organising and decorating of events for various occasions. In addition, it demonstrated the manner in which she aided the customers of the outreach ministries by doing everything in her power to meet their requirements. She was modest, and she stated that she did not wish to take credit for the accomplishments, but rather that she attributed them to the outstanding volunteers who contributed a significant amount of their time and energy to the success of the programmes.

In 2018, Barb was inducted into the Chenango Valley Hall of Fame by the alumni, and in 2023, she was presented with the Binghamton Sertoma Club Service to Mankind award. Barb was also the winner of the Immaculata distinction from the Diocese of Syracuse.
