Gwen Stefani Debuts New Breakup Song At Concert
Gwen Stefani is known for many upbeat tunes like "Hollaback Girl" and "Wind It Up," but over the weekend the singer proved that she's still the queen of emotional ballads à la "Don't Speak." At her Saturday concert at N.Y.C.'s Hammerstein Ballroom the Voice star got real with her audience when she debuted a brand-new song called "Used to Love You."
"I just want to share a song that I wrote recently. This song is really special," she reportedly told the audience before the performance. "I’m talking about pain and love and my real life, and I just want to say thank you for listening."
As she started performing the single on the stage, shots of a sad-looking Stefani streamed on the big screen behind her. "You go, I'll stay. You can keep all the memories," sang the singer, who recently split from husband Gavin Rossdale. "I thought I was the best thing that ever happened to you. I thought you loved me the most."
