Kate Upton angry at Terry Richardson about Cat Daddy video
It transpires that controversial photographer Terry Richardson didn't ask Kate Upton's consent when he shared that infamous video of doing the Cat Daddy dance.
For those unfamiliar, the Cat Daddy is a dance involving lots of body rolls and grinding. And if you're Richardson, you ask that your subject do this said dance in a barely-there bikini. Then you post it without checking if it's ok with her first.
The video, first shared on YouTube in 2012, has been watched by over 22 million and led to the model's mainstream fame.
However, she has told British Vogue that the film was never intended for public consumption and had thought that it was shot for fun.
She was, understandable, angry at Richardson and approached him about it.
"I was like, 'That was disrespectful, you could have told me!'" she said. "Now, obviously, it's fine."
The photographer has been accused of inappropriate sexual conduct by numerous models. He has denied the allegations, branding them "lies". He argues that "sexual imagery has always been a part of my photography".
