London fans got a taste of Maren Morris’ new musical makings Wednesday night (July 5) when she surprised the audience with a new song titled, “Get The Hell Out of Here.”

During the 33-year-old’s performance at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town, Maren debuted a new song about struggling to stay afloat with her own self-confidence and self-worth over stripped instrumentation. Many fans documented the “My Church” singer’s new emotive ballad on their social media pages, which showcases her vulnerable lyricism.

She sings, “I’ve gone against the grain and good advice / I drank my weight to dehydrate the thoughts that flood my mind / So, to all my grand apologies I know are insincere / Go on, get the hell out of here. I do the best I can / But the more I hang around here, the less I give a damn / So, to all the doubts and demons that I held so dear / Go on, get the hell out of here.”

“Get The Hell Out of Here” is the singer/songwriter’s first solo release since her March 2022 record, Humble Quest, which houses the single “Circles Around This Town.”

It’s no secret that Morris is crafting her next project. In April, the songstress confessed that she’s been working with producer Jack Antonoff; best known for working with Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana Del Rey, fun., and many more.

In March, the 32-year-old musician spilled the tea about her upcoming project with Katie Neal of Katie & Company at the Leading Ladies event in NYC. She says that this next project will be more rock and edgy.

Morris says, “It’s thus far pretty confessional and I mean, I feel like it’s a rock realm it’s going into. I don’t quite know what it is yet. They’re just demos, so I kind of find out when I get in the studio. But it’s super confessional. It’s visceral, super vulnerable, but fun too. So I don’t know, on my last record, it was during the pandemic, so we tried to just do what we could during that time where everything was remote, doing Zoom sessions, and whatnot. And this feels like we’re back.”
