Adolph Robert Thornton Jr., often known as Young Dolph, was a musician. On November 17, 2021, he was killed murdered in broad daylight at Makeda’s Homemade Cookies in Memphis, his hometown.
Two individuals stepped out of a white Mercedes, dashed past Young Dolph’s camouflage Corvette, up to the bakery window, and began shooting.

Maurice Hill, the owner of Makeda’s Butter Cookies, where the incident occurred, told FOX13 that his workers stated Young Dolph, 36, strolled into the business to buy cookies. Someone then drove up to the Memphis bakery and shot and murdered him.
Hundreds of people went to the location immediately after the incident as news of it spread across the world. Tensions rose, and raw emotion erupted.
People were sobbing on the ground. Some bystanders demanded a stop to gun violence and peace. Others cursed and expressed their outrage at the passing of the Memphis legend.
