Target accepts returns, but the items must be unopened and unused. Not only that, but you should return these within one year of the baby’s due date.

If you return a gift, it will be refunded via Target gift cards. These cards can be used online and in-store for other purchases. When you return any item, use the barcode from Target.com or the Target Registry app.

Merchandise Return Card

When you return any purchased items, you’ll get a refund via merchandise return cards. These cards are only valid in-store, and they are given for any approved non-receipted returns. Let’s now find out more about how Target’s baby registry works and whether you need receipts for any returned items.

How Do You Return Items In-store?

How Do You Return Items In-store?

Returned items are processed using special barcodes. You get one year to return any unwanted items, and you can use a tablet, smartphone, or desktop to access your barcode. Go to Target.com and log in to your account. Open the baby registry page, which is found under the ‘Registry’ tab. You can start returning items using the tab on the left-hand side of the homepage.

Did you know that 75% of the U.S population lives within ten miles of a Target store? With more than 1,900 locations across all 50 states, you won’t have trouble finding your nearest store. Once you specify your local store in your registry tab, you’ll receive your unique barcode.

Please note: Make sure you choose a convenient date because the barcode can only be used on the date you choose. The same goes for the store; it’s only valid at the store selected.

Return Items Using the Target App

Target makes shopping easy, but it goes the extra mile by providing an application. You can now return items using the Target Registry app. The app is available for Android and Apple users, and all you need is your Target log-in details.

After you log in, select “Make a Return,” which is found on the app’s main menu. You’ll get your unique barcode which you’ll need when you visit the store. Remember to take a form of ID with you; it can either be your driver’s license or passport.

Target Baby Registry Return Policy – What Condition Should the Items Be In?

Target’s baby registry return policy will work in your favor if you return unopened items. The policy states that returned items should be in their original packaging, without any damage.

If you’re lucky, the item can still be returned when broken if you provide a return barcode or receipt. This is at the store manager’s discretion. Target also reserves the right to deny any returns based on the brand, the product, and general store policies.

Do You Need a Receipt When Returning Items?

What Is The Target Makeup Return Policy Without A Receipt?

A receipt isn’t always available, especially when the item was purchased as a gift. The good news is that the item will be recorded on your baby registry list and can be returned using the return barcode generated online.

You might need a little extra help authenticating the purchased item if you don’t have a receipt or barcode. Target can also look up transactions made via Target RedCard, Discover credit cards, American Express, Visa, and MasterCard. If there’s no proof of your purchase, Target will refund you with a merchandise return card. The card will be worth the current value of that item, and it can only be used in-store.

Will the Gift Giver Know About the Baby Registry Item Return?

You might be worried that the person that gave you the gift will be notified about the gift return. You’ll be happy to hear that this won’t be the case. The gifts are simply exchanged for Target gift cards or merchandise return cards.

Using Target’s Baby Registry

Target is one of the best places to shop, and its baby registry makes preparations for having a baby far easier for any expecting parent. When you use Target’s baby registry, you can get items from Cloud Island. This brand is exclusive to Target, and it has top-quality but affordable items such as fitted crib sheets for $9.99.

Making a baby registry could take you a few hours on other apps, but Target’s app makes it easier to add items from your phone. You can also go to your local store and use your phone to scan and add items to your list.

A free gift for signing up!

That’s not all! When you sign up, you’ll receive a free gift which is valued at over $50! It includes good quality, high-value coupons and product samples. There’s also a large selection of products online.

The registry app also offers helpful advice. When you sign up for your registry, you’ll find size 1 Pampers diapers already added to your list. The app also features a selection of “Mom’s Picks” items. These products were voted on by mothers across the country as their favorite, must-have baby items. If you’re not sure of what to add to your list, this is the place to start!

As long as the item being returned is unopened and in its original package, you’ll have no problems. You’ll either get a gift card or a merchandise return card, and you can enjoy shopping at Target or Target.com.

Make sure to show your barcode as it’s exclusive to the store that you choose. If you don’t have a receipt, there are a couple of other ways that Target will assist you in authenticating your item. And don’t forget to take either your passport or driver’s license to ID yourself.
